Why FAQPage JSON-LD still matters (2026)
On May 7, 2026, Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in Search. Documentation was later removed from Search Central (June 2026). That does not mean FAQPage markup is invalid.
schema.org/FAQPage is still a live type. Google’s long-standing guidance is that unused structured data does not cause Search problems — it simply no longer earns a visible FAQ accordion for most sites.
FaqForge therefore ships FAQ pairs + FAQPage JSON-LD as decision-support: help humans publish clear Q&A, and give crawlers / other systems a structured shape. We do not claim Google rich results or ranking lifts.
What to do
- Keep useful on-page FAQs for humans.
- Keep valid FAQPage JSON-LD if it matches the visible Q&A.
- Stop promising “rich results” in marketing copy.
